A waterproof television (TV) is a TV that is safe to use around humid environment. The TV is typically sealed in such a way that they can be splashed, rained on, or, in some cases, submerged in water and other liquids and still function. A waterproof TV is often useful in places where there may be a threat of contact with liquids, such as in bathrooms, kitchens or order homework help outdoors. Both homeowners and businesses may be able to utilize a waterproof television. The TV’s can be built in the wall or furniture, or mounted on the wall.
The waterproof TVs have flat panel monitors, like LCD, LED (LCD panel with LED backlight) and OLED. These TVs are equipped with a waterproof remote control that can be used in the same wet environment as the television.
Some TVs have mirror finish that allows them to be used as a normal mirror when they are not in use. They are called mirror TV. The mirror panel can also be bigger than TV screen if needed. Also, they may have screens that are heated so that they will not fog over in the bathroom environment. This heated screen option is useful for TVs in rooms with a lot of steam, such as showers or saunas.
IP Ratings Explained
IP Rating, outlined in International Standard IEC 60529, stands for International Protection Rating (or sometimes also interpreted as Ingress Protection Rating) and classifies the degrees of protection provided against writing a book report the intrusion of both solid object and water in electrical enclosures. The first number describes the level of protection from solid objects and the second number describes the level of protection from liquids. All the SWI TV models are with IP66 or above rated.

Bathroom Zones Explained
Using electrical equipment in bath or shower rooms has always needed care to ensure safety. The diagram below shows identified particular zones within the bathroom to indicate what type of electrical equipment can be installed.
Inside the bath or shower. Any fitting used in this zone must be SELV(safety Extra low voltage, max 12v) and be rated at least IPX7, which is total immersion proof.
Above the bath or shower to a height of 2.25m. A minimum rating of IPX4 is required.
The area stretching to 0.6m outside the bath or shower and above the bath or shower. An IP rating of at least IPX4 is required (see Note 1)
Anywhere outside Zones 0, 1 & 2. Where water jets are not to be used for cleaning purposes, no IP rating is required.
1. In Zones 1 & 2. if there is a likelihood of water jets being used for cleaning purposes, a minimum of IPX5 is required.
2. Basins are not covered, however they are usually considered to be Zone 2.
3. Providing that the space under the bath cannot be accessed without using tools, that space is considered to be out of Zone. However – if in any doubt, please check.
